Growing Our Family: Family at 5 weeks

Well, we survived our first month together!! Hard to believe it has only been 5 weeks, but we've certainly learned a lot of about this parenting deal in general, and about Cameron in particular, during the past month or so.

For one thing, we've learned that our little guy is a great sleeper during the night, but not-so-much when it comes to nap time. Fortunately, he is sleeping pretty much from 8:00 until 7:30 each night, and he no longer does a bottle in the middle of the night. Unfortunately (especially for Jai) he is not napping well on his own - Jai pretty much has to hold him through his naps. As a result, she's had to forgo some luxuries ....like bathing and using the restroom!

Speaking of sleep, our little guy typically awakes very, very happy every morning, and with killer bed head!

He generally doesn't like to be covered (at all) when sleeping, but he did allow us to cover him on one particularly cold morning recently. Well, almost all of him - he wanted his huge feet ("the bricks," as we call them) exposed...

Cameron is hilarious, and he makes us laugh all the time! Whether he's playing his own version of "peek-a-boo" or he's doing the "dork dance" to music, he is usually cracking us up!! His new deal is "scary face," which he usually brings-out when he thinks he's being tough - like when he's crushing a yogurt cup. This always makes us laugh....
