i never knew how many fall festivals and activities there are for children until this year. i'm sure that these activities have been going on for years but without having a little one we just weren't looking for such things. below are some photos from two fall festivals and from his halloween "parade" at m.d.o.
these first pictures are actually from Sunday (the last event attended.) we were thankful for another beautiful fall day. cameron enjoyed his first hayride and feeding some animals at the little "zoo." after all the fun outside he ate a BIG dinner complete with a piece of pumpkin pie and ice cream.
cameron spots a tractor!
yippee!
checking out the chicken
feeding the baby cow
(moo!)
waiting for the hayride with daddy
"driving" the hayride tractor!
his m.d.o. "parade" was moved inside due to a cold and rainy day. i wasn't able to get many clear photos during the actual event but was able to capture more of our little guy after "school" was over for the day.
leading the "parade" with his teacher
playing in his classroom
practicing his running drills
(a fullback in the making?)
enjoying a snack on the ride home
here's our little "sock monkey" --- we were surprised cameron kept his monkey hat on for the entire event this past saturday. it was a beautiful fall day and the crowds were big. cameron loved to see all the police cars and trucks out for the event. and we were proud of dad for coming with us while the huskers were playing football!
heading out on daddy's shoulders
cameron's very 1st piece of halloween candy
(a fun discovery)
a truck & a lollipop!
(husker red of course)
"throwing the bones"
(cameron's version of supporting the husker defense)
"go big red!"
(always practicing with dad)
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30
