a "real" vacation...

so we had what i'd call a real vacation... a week+ long trip to our home town to visit family. it reminded me of the vacations of my childhood. this trip was different than any trip prior as the kids are old enough to be up longer before naps and are big enough to do lots more "stuff." we made it to the transportation museum and magic house two times each. c would have been happy at the transportation museum every day but the heat and humidity limited our (the grown ups) desire to go there more than twice! below are photos from our time...

playing together without conflict!

"pit stop!"

quick...get back to favorite delivery truck before the other little boy gets there...

phew...just made it!

e.b. trying a pit stop too

a real bob cat...
c patiently (well, mostly) waited for a turn on the bob cat over 10 times!

c using the digger to fill a dump truck with rubber mulch

e.b. at the construction site

e.b. getting a kick out of the "air balls"

bye mama...i'm headed to the store

pahjie fixed this tower crane and mounted it for c

e.b. turned into the biggest nut this trip...
