Meeting our son for the first time!

Well, today was THE day! We finally got to meet Cameron Soo live and in person! He is so wonderful, and all of the previous pictures - although great - didn't capture his awesome personality and spirit! This kid is a ham! He loves the camera...and an audience...so he's a lot like Jai (kidding). Seriously though, he just lit up when we got in the room with him and we had a lot of fun playing for the hour or so we had together. Toward the end of our meeting, which was around his morning nap time, he started to get a little fussy for his "Omma" (foster mom). This is both a blessing and a challenge - its great that he's been loved so much in the first year of his life, but it will be quite difficult when the time comes for him to leave her forever. Speaking of, we learned today from the good folks at Eastern (our Korean social workers) that we will be able to pick him up on Wednesday!! That's a day earlier than expected, and it means we can spend one quasi-normal night together before subjecting him to a 14 hour flight (and to Texas, for that matter)...
As you can see, we've spinkled in a few pictures from our visit today. Unfortunately, we didn't realize until we sat down this evening that we don't have a photo of the three of us together - no worries, that will all change on Wednesday!
After meeting our precious son, we walked the streets of Seoul in a daze and managed to do a little shopping. We ended the day at the Korean War memorial (which is amazing) and then spent some time in the neighborhood surrounding our military base here - we had to break down and have some "Western" food for the first time since our arrival.
We hope to post more as the adventures continue. We thank you so much for your prayers and support during this time - we felt so at ease today and know that this is by God's grace.
"For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without defect." 1 Peter 1:18-19
